My Hypermotard has very little space, so I ordered the split horns. photos show that I took off the front beak where the existing horn resides. I made a custom aluminum bracket that allow the new horn to fit in the same space. You can see part of the new horn below the beak, which does not bother me. Installed the compressor just behind the radiator on the right side.
The wiring kit just made it much easier. Results............

I installed the Denali Sound Bomb split horn system on my BMW R1200GS. The difference between the Bomb and the factory horn are nothing short of amazing.
The split system allows better clearance from the front monolever shock and permits the horn component to be mounted directly to the front fork. This permits the horns to face forward and better project the sound.

This horn requires installation of a length of plastic tubing that connects the compressor to the horn. No problem except the tubing is too stiff or loose and wouldn’t stay attached to the horn or the compressor. Kept popping off. I used a drop of superglue to the tubing and now it seems to work. Intermittently. Traced to loose spade lugs connections. Fixed THAT. So now it works.

When I bought my GS Adventure, friends told me to upgrade the exhaust to be louder for cars. Not wanting to annoy all my neighbors daily, I went a different route and upgraded the wimpy factory horn. Wow!! I love see peoples' expressions when they hear the horn. It is truly a sound bomb! It has already saved my life in traffic. One of the best safety upgrades I have made to the bike!!!

Mounting Denali 120 dB split sound bomb on BMW R1200GS
Mounting positions took more sorting than I expected. Nevertheless, the job is excellent. I mounted the plastic squark-box facing forward just infront of the left side cylinder and the heavier compressor tuckedunder the frame, unobtrusive and out of harms way and immediately below left side of riders seat. I used the two Denali zip-ties to mount the lighter squark-box on my engine bars and some even heavier-duty zip-ties and couple of electrical cable clamps to mount the heavier compressor on the electrical cable clamps, in turn on the horizontal square-profile part of the bike frame. The 30 amp relay is kept dry beneath the rider's seat. Signal to the relay is taken from the OEM crappy horn, which I have left in-situ. The whole job is a good-one and I now have a 120 dB sound-bomb on my R1200R and a split 120 dB sound bomb on my R1200GS. In my opinion I believe BMW should fit the split soundbomb as standard.

Denali sound bomb is perfect for replacing the original BMW R1200 GSA horn. Everybody in traffic will be aware of your present and will significantly improve your safety.But, regarding the mounting it could be a secret killer since the horn drop from my bike (although correctly fitted) likely at low speed. Very bad solution for fixing the sound bomb. Need immediate attention in improving it.
