KTM 890 Adventure Lighting & Accessories
It seems fair to say that no grass is going to grow under the feet of KTM’s engineers. No sooner than they’d introduced the all-new, highly sophisticated KTM 790 Adventure series, motorcycling got word that there was a new midsized Katoom in town: the 890 Adventure series, which has replaced the 790 Adventure as the model years moved from 2020 to 2021. (And not a moment too soon.)
For KTM, it’s familiar territory: Taking a successful platform and making it better. The 890 Adventure—now in base model, 890 Adventure R, and 890 Adventure R Rally versions—gets a bored and stroked version of the 790’s liquid-cooled parallel twin, now a true 889cc but also boasting a higher compression ratio, larger intake and exhaust valves, and, of course, more power. Who doesn’t want that?
Even better: The 890 Adventure shares a lot of parts with the 790, so people like us, who make great accessories for KTM motorcycles, don’t have to start from scratch. KTM’s latest LED headlights have improved from its earlier efforts, but DENALI can give 890 riders new confidence on the trail. For the KTM 890 Adventure, DENALI provides has two bike-specific LED light mounts. One is designed strictly for DENALI’s ultra-compact (but very bright) DM LED motorcycle light, and tucks the lights in just below the headlight. The kit comes with the brackets you need, two DM lights prefitted with amber lenses (white lenses can be added later if you want), as well as a full wiring harness.
DENALI’s other offering or the 890 Adventure, 890 Adventure R and 890 Adventure R Rally is a light-mount kit that fits any of DENALI’s advanced LED driving lights, from the D7, whose total of 14 LEDs produce more than 15,000 lumens, through the popular four-LED D4 to the compact and affordable S4. The DENALI light mount for the KTM 890 Adventure is made of strong, durable steel powder-coated for weather resistance.
While you’re upgrading your 890 Adventure, add a DENALI SoundBomb horn to be sure you can get the attention of other drivers or, maybe, a moose on the trail. The SoundBomb is available in one-piece configuration or the SoundBomb Split, which separates the compressor and horn assemblies to make installation a bit more flexible. There’s also the Mini Electromagnetic Low Tone Horn, a useful upgrade over the 890 Adventure’s horn.
