Yamaha has specialized in the off-road segment for years and their exhaust notes are famous. Yamaha has an affinity for building reliable high-revving engines that are fine-tuned to sing. Creating engines that sound good isn’t a surprise considering they have years of experience creating musical instruments. Their products are a sensory overload. 

The 2021 Yamaha YXZ1000R’s DOHC inline three-cylinder engine revs all the way to 10,500rpm and makes 103 horsepower. The sequential 5-speed transmission allows you to hold those revs while on the trail, and the paddle shifters on the steering column make you feel like a race car driver. 

Yamaha’s On-Command 4WD allows you to choose between 2WD, limited-slip 4WD, and full differential-lock 4WD to handle the toughest terrains. The suspension has adjustable dampening allowing you to dial in the perfect setup for your application. The combination of a high revving engine, capable transmission, and tunable suspension is a recipe for success.
