Kawasaki Versys-X 300

It’s not surprising that Kawasaki made a smaller version of their popular Versys family. Still, it’s surprising that they gave the Versys-X 300 a more flexible liquid cooled parallel twin instead of a single. For an affordable bike aimed at beginners, it has many advanced features like fuel injection, ABS brakes, and an assist/slipper clutch. At less than 400lbs, full of gas, and ready to ride, the smallest Versys is probably the most dirt-friendly, needing only the correct tires to play off-road.

Adventure touring is trendy right now, but most ADV bikes are enormous, heavy, and expensive. The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 can be outfitted with hard bags and run at freeway speeds, but it is less touring bike and more adventure than most. Kawasaki will happily outfit you with luggage, racks, and crash guards, but their lighting leaves much to be desired. DENALI LEDs provide more options, more illumination, and fewer demands of the small bike’s charging system.

Not only will DENALI Electronics LED lights let you see more and help people see you, they lend your Versys-X 300 a more adventurous look. Add the DENALI powder-coated steel driving light mount, designed explicitly for the Versys-X, and install any DENALI lights on either side of the fairing. The 4.5” round D7 LED pods are the ultimate driving light, with a spot beam that projects more than 15,000 lumens yet only draws ten amps. For a more versatile light, the 4” square D4 pods combine four LEDs in each unit, with two spot beams and two flood beams in each pod making more than 8500 lumens. Add the DENALI DataDim controller, and these lights work in high and low intensity, controlled by the original headlight switch.

If you prefer a smaller light pod on your small bore ADV bike, DENALI has you covered too. The traditional 3.75” round DR1 LED pods look great on any bike and provide a 1000’ beam of daylight while drawing less than two amps of power. Even more petite, the 2.25” round D2 pods and 1.75” DM pods are easy to mount anywhere and provide a significant lighting improvement. They all can be used with the DataDim controller as well.

DENALI can provide running lights, brake lights, and turn signals in bright, weatherproof, surface mount LED pods. The DRL visibility pod provides white or amber light in a slim package about 4.5” x 1” and can be mounted anywhere, with DENALI’s brackets or your own. Similar in size, the red B6 pods are pre-wired to provide dual intensity brake and running lights. The T3 switchback turn signal pods are brighter and much less likely to get damaged when you eventually tip over riding in the dirt.

DENALI has sturdy, durable metal brackets to hold all these lights on your bike too. Round bar clamps mount lights to the fork tubes, frame tubes, or any other round bar. Stamped steel, powder-coated offset, and fender mounts make it easy to bolt on DRL, T3, and B6 pods to the front or back of your bike without drilling holes. And finally, the little bike can produce a big roar with the addition of a DENALI SoundBomb horn.
