Kawasaki Versys 650

The Kawasaki Versys 650 is a good bike for a lot of different riders and purposes. The parallel twin puts out a reasonable amount of power, but lacks the big top-end hit of a four-cylinder sportbike, but that’s better for inexperienced riders anyway. Tuned for plenty of torque throughout the powerband, the Versys is a great bike for everyday commuting or even touring in places where the paved roads end.

To create the Versys 650, Kawasaki took their already well-rounded Ninja 650 twin and gave it an upright riding position, longer travel suspension, and stronger rear subframe to carry luggage.

Weighing more than 450 lbs, it is no lightweight dirt bike, but it is much lighter than a lot of bigger adventure touring bikes. With a swap of some dirt-friendly tires and the addition of some LED driving/fog lights, you could ride a Versys around the world, on and off-road.

No matter what ADV bike you ride, Denali has lighting for it. If you're going to ride your Versys in all weather and terrain, day and night, a pair of 4.5in D7 LED pods will blaze a path as bright as day for nearly a quarter-mile in front of you. If you prefer a combination spot and floodlight, mount a pair of 4in square D4 LED pods, each one with two spot beams and two floods.

Amber lenses are also available for better penetration through fog and precipitation, and with the DataDim controller, they become dual intensity lights triggered by the factory headlight switch.

Denali has smaller round LED pods that can light your way but be nearly invisible on the bike. The D2 pods are less than 2.5 inches, but project a spot beam more than 500 ft, or with the flood lens light a swath more than 150 ft wide. Even smaller, the tiny DR pods are little more than 1.5 inches, but give you a nearly 400 feet spotlight beam, or a floodlight 150 feet wide. Of course, both can be converted to amber light and run on the DataDim controller.

Denali has smaller easy to mount lights to improve your visibility to other drivers on the road as well. Replace the easily broken factory lollipop turn signals with surface mount Denali T3 switchback pods, which function as running lights, turn signals, and auxiliary brake lights. If you're keeping your factory blinkers, you can still add surface mount Denali DRL pods and B6 auxiliary brake lights almost anywhere.

Denali also has clamps and brackets to make installing driving and fog lights easy. Articulating bar clamps mount any lights to your fork legs or a round frame tube. The wireless charging smartphone mount holds your phone securely where you can see it and follow your GPS navigation.
