Triumph, a UK based company, is a legendary and well respected motorcycle company. The company has a rich history tracing back to the early 1900s with their first motorcycle. While the company had shaky times in the 1980s and availability in the US has been spotty, since 1995 they have remained consistent and competitive in the US market.
The Triumph Rocket 3 is completely redesigned for 2021, one of the largest displacement engines in a production motorcycles in the world. With the name “Rocket” it should be no surprise that this motorcycle can take off just like one. The Rocket 3 has a big 2.5 liter 3-cylinder engine cranking out 167 horsepower and 221 Nm of torque.
The Rocket 3 is so fast it has set a Guinness World Record of 2.73 seconds to 60. The Rocket 3 is a big brute weighing in at 648 pounds, which makes it more impressive that it can accelerate so quickly.
The Rocket 3 may be on the heavier side of the spectrum but it wears it well. The frame has its weight low and centered. The distribution of weight and modern electrics makes the Rocket 3 feel light on its feet. Helping the Triumph Rocket stop is Brembo calipers, giving you the confidence to stop later and take off sooner.
