Yamaha R3/R6/R1
There are few sport bikes with a legacy as long as Yamaha’s R-Series. The R1 was originally introduced all the way back in 1998, with the R6 rolling out of the factory the following year. The entry-level R3 joined its bigger brethren in 2015.
Of course, the bikes have received updates over the years, but they’ve never lost their superbike edge. That’s not just an empty Yamaha marketing spiel either – the R6 has won more AMA middleweight races and championships than any other bike in its class. So, when it comes to dashing across asphalt at breakneck speed, few do it better than the R bikes.
The engines on the machines range from the 998cc on the R1 to the R3’s more modest (but still high performance) 321cc. Whatever their displacement, though, the R-Series is purpose-built for blistering speed. The R-Series doesn’t excel only on the racetrack, though. They eat up miles on regular roads with equal gusto.
But with great speed comes a great need for safety. When you’re roaring through rural twisties or an unlit racetrack, you must see everything ahead of you. One missed tar snake or loose rock can easily spell disaster if you hit it at a top speed of 180 mph. We at DENALI have created our range of auxiliary motorcycle lights to make sure that nightmare scenario won’t happen.
Our D7 LED Driving Light Pods cast an intense 15,000-lumen beam more than 1,500 feet down the road ahead. Our Articulating Bar Clamps feature a rotating mounting shelf that allows you to angle the lights to maximize your visibility. If that sounds like overkill to you (it’s not, though) we also offer the D4 and S4 Light Pods. They give you equally high, budget-friendly performance with slightly less power.
All these lights come with DENALI DataDim Technology. That means that you can control their intensity directly with your Yamaha’s OEM high beam switch. Their blacked-out, aggressive styling also blends smoothly with the sleek, sport R-Series bikes.
It’s not enough that you see where you’re going, though. You might be alone on the racetrack, but on the road, other drivers and riders need to see you as well. DENALI DRL Visibility Pods give you that extra boost in visibility that you need. They can be flush, offset, or fender-mounted, and their intensity circuit makes your bike shine bright in the dark.
You shouldn’t forget about break lights, either. After all, there’s a very real risk of being rear-ended when you have to suddenly bring an R-Series speed demon to a stop. DENALI B6 Brake Light is easy to mount either flush or on your license plate. It’s red glare clearly tells everyone trailing you that it’s time to slow down.
And when it comes to letting someone know that they need to get out of the way now, nobody does it better than the DENALI SoundBomb Horn. Its 120-decibel screech is four times louder than a regular motorcycle horn and its compact, blacked-out design practically disappears into your bike once installed.
Safety is of paramount importance when you’re riding as fast as the Yamaha R-Series lets you. That’s why we at DENALI do what we do – to make sure you can enjoy your superbikes safely.
